A convergence point
The CALL at Georgetown’s Capitol Campus
As Georgetown continues to evolve and expand its presence, we have embarked on our growth in the Downtown DC area, also known as the Capitol Campus. Just minutes away from the Capitol, the CALL is an integral component of the campus’s growth, as we provide new and unique opportunities for students to learn at Georgetown.

At 500 1st Street, Georgetown students, faculty, and staff from diverse disciplines convene beyond the Hilltop in a space designed for collaboration and community building.
Features
Our Collaboration Spaces
Smart classrooms and huddle spaces
When your classes aren’t meeting out in the city, CALL courses gather in the “smart” classrooms of 500 First Street. These new spaces can accommodate groups of all different sizes and make it equally easy to meet in person or Zoom in a guest speaker from half-way across the world. There are also additional “huddle rooms” that help create a comfortable setting and encourage group discussions.
Community space
In addition to the local hangouts of the city, CALL students also use 500 First Street as a social space. Relax in the large lounge area, find a comfortable study nook, and connect with friends after a long day of interning! Our lounge is where we also get together twice a week for community lunch!
